Several important players in peacebuilding and peacekeeping such as the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission and Support Office, the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Swiss government are currently reflecting on past strategies and on the changing international context in order to formulate new avenues to respond to violent conflicts.

With the keynote speaker Michael Møller, Director-General of the UN Office at Geneva, the annual conference aims to discuss future responses both from a global and Swiss perspective by bringing together representatives from government agencies, academia, international organizations, businesses and NGOs.
