The Congress will focus on the current global militarization trend leading to (ever new) wars. This trend stands in stark contrast to the need for a real global transformation. To bring about social change and create a culture of peace, major re-allocations of military expenditures from all states of the world are necessary. By pursuing a thorough re-allocation policy, billions of US-dollars could instead be invested to mitigate the climate change, foster worldwide peace and security, encourage sustainable development, fund humanitarian projects and promote social justice.
