DAFG-Geschäftsstelle, Friedrichstr. 185 (Kontorhaus), 10117 Berlin

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Arab League, the German-Arab Friendship Association (DAFG) jointly with Zentrum Moderner Orient(ZMO) cordially invites you to the lecture

Dr. Ferabolli's recently published book "Arab Regionalism" details and examines the power relations involved in the making of an Arab region. The attitude of debasement and erasure towards Arab regionalism that is common-place in the field of regional studies is replaced in this book for the acknowledgment that there is much more political coordination, economic cooperation and social integration in the Arab region than has previously been assumed by IR scholarship.

Silvia Ferabolli is a Brazilian scholar educated and working in Brazil, London, and the Middle East. She holds a PhD in Politics and International Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and her research focuses on Arab regionalism and on Arab-South American interregionalism.

We are looking forward to your participation and kindly ask you to register until 9 February 2015 via our website (see below) or with Christine Rollin, Desk Officer for Politics, Media and Communication (email:Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt!
